My Chinese brothers and sisters:
Today, we stand here, to let the world hear the concerns, from the deepest of our hearts, about what has happened in Tibet. We wish to ask all Australians, all the good hearted people on this great southernland, to listen, we are simply asking for a 'fair go'!
The unfortunate events, in our home country, have sparked outrage among each and every one of us. The death of innocent civilians, including the 5 girls who were burnt alive, caused great sadness among us. I would like to, on behalf of everyone here, pay ourcondolence to those Tibetan, Muslim and Han brothers and sisters.
Now we are gathering here, to let the Australian public know: that Chinese people are against violence on whatever excuse. And we do concern it, because it is in Tibetutonomous Region, in Sichuan, in Qinghai, in Gansu, all in all, in our homeland China.
My fellow Chinese, let the world hear us:
NO MORE KILLING! NO MORE RIOTS! NO MORE VIOLENCE!
And, most importantly, we would like to say to the western media, the CNN, the BBC, Germany N-TV, and many others - STOP TELLING LIES!
Your biased reports roil the situation in Tibet, and by doing so you are helping NO GOOD! The cut out pictures about the conflict, the rumoring stories about assassination, are hurting both the Han and Tibetan people, and more, they have already started to affect the judgment of each warm hearted Australian people! Please do not provoke hatred and more violence, for our brothers and sisters are still suffering in blood and pain!
Let's not entangle ourselves in the silly and cruel game of politics.
and I believe everyone here, is wise enough to not use politics as a sword, against our sincere plea. We are students, small business owners, accountants, lawyers, doctors, people from all over Sydney. Today, we come here, gathered voluntarily, to raise our voices! We want to be heard!
We, brothers and sisters, share one thing in common - we have all crossed the far oceans and overcome great difficulties to reach this foreign land, for education, and for a different future. We, are the children of a proud and ancient culture, WE ARE "ZHONG GUO REN"! WE ARE CHINESE!
We are proud of the fact, that CHINA has 56 ethnicities. Multi-culture is a label of china, just like Australia. I know that's what all Australians are proud of, SO ARE WE! Han and Tibetan people have lived together in harmony for thousands of years! We see each other as equal. We respected each other's culture. Hand in hand, together we have built a peaceful, and prosperous nation, but NO RIOTS, NO HATRED, NO KILLING. NO MORE!!
YES, THIS IS OUR VOICE! AND YES, WE ARE ALL FREE-THINKING INDIVIDUALS
JUST LIKE THE CITIZENS OF AUSTRALIA! STOP THE VIOLENCE! STOP TELLING LIES!
Several days ago , the prime minister Mr Kevin Rudd had a speech in Beijing university . From the speech we heard 3 things:
1, Mr. Rudd emphasizes that Tibet is a part of china. He believes Tibet will get better as a part of china.
2, Mr. Rudd does not agree boycotting Beijing Olympics.
3, Mr. Rudd speaks amazingly fluent mandarin. He speaks even faster than the prime minister of china !!
So Thank you , Mr. Kevin Rudd . Thank you for your kindness, Australia!
